Hi! I don't know if you use this DeviantArt anymore, and I'm not creepy enough to search for anything that you do, lol. But I do hope you manage to see this message.
A long time ago, back when I was 13 years old (six years ago, I still can't believe it), I played my first ever visual novel. It was called 'Planets: The life of normalcy has ended!'
I know it's weird, but I remember thinking it was so dang cool - practically revolutionary at the time! The characters were beautifully drawn, the story was awesome, and it was so funny. Even now, when I'm able to see that the art isn't exactly the pinnacle of artistic expression (no offense! lol), I still have great respect for the passion you clearly had.
I guess I just want to say thank you. I was a kid, and I really loved your work. Both your game and early art, whether or not you view them as masterpieces, were huge influences in my decision to become an artist myself. Now I'm 20, studying art, working on my own commercial visual novel, and looking back on some of the things that inspired me the most. I remembered this and, boy, the nostalgia is real.
It's weird how something so seemingly minor can influence someone so greatly - even if it isn't your best work. I can only imagine how much you've grown as an artist since. I hope that you've continued to refine your skill, and you've followed your passion!
Anyway, hopefully I'm not shouting into empty space where you won't see this - I just felt the strong need to tell you that I probably wouldn't be quite the same as I am now had it not been for your art and the domino effect it had on me.
Thank you, seriously.
